Concentrations
Concentrations are offered in Teaching in Formal Education and Agricultural Leadership and Development. Students interested in the Agricultural Education major should contact the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education and Evaluation for deadlines and specific details about each concentration.
Students who are considering the Teaching in Formal Education concentration for teacher certification should inform a faculty advisor when the undergraduate program of study is being developed. Students interested in a teacher certification program other than agricultural education should contact the College of Human Sciences and Education.
Instruction from an inspiring teacher can positively impact young lives. In this concentration, students learn hands-on lessons in agriculture, science, and education that prepare them to teach agricultural principles in local schools.
This broad-based curriculum covers all areas of technical agriculture as well as leadership, communication, and informal instruction. Unique opportunities for professional development and hands-on learning will prepare students to communicate their passion for agriculture throughout the country.
