Md Nurul Alam is a PhD Candidate in Marketing at Louisiana State University’s E. J.
Ourso College of Business, with expected degree completion in Spring 2027. His research
lies at the intersection of consumer behavior and marketing strategy, examining how
firm actions and marketplace signals shape consumer and stakeholder responses, particularly
under disagreement, external pressure, and marketplace disruption. His work uses experiments
and surveys, supplemented by archival data, causal inference approaches, and computational
text analysis. He has taught Consumer Behavior and Analysis, Marketing Research, and
Business Statistics II and has supported graduate Marketing Management courses in
the LSU Flores MBA Program. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked as an
auditor and consultant at Coats Bangladesh, a subsidiary of Coats plc in the United
Kingdom.
