Biography
Dr. Leanna Cupit holds a PhD in Leadership and Human Resource Development from LSU. Prior to joining the SLHRD faculty full-time she served as an adjunct instructor and participated in online course development for both the bachelor’s and master’s programs. Dr. Cupit’s career has been centered around the areas of education, program evaluation, and organizational development. She has worked as a high school science teacher, a school administrator, and as a researcher in the LSU Social Research and Evaluation Center.
Dr. Cupit has also presented at national conferences focused on education, social emotional learning, and teacher stress/burnout. While at the Social Research and Evaluation Center Dr. Cupit worked with state and national agencies as a facilitator and evaluator on multi-million dollar grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the National Science Foundation. She enjoys facilitating online courses and assisting both traditional and non-traditional students in reaching their post-secondary goals.
