Biographical Sketch
Dr. Gerry Knapp, P.E., Fred B. and Ruth B. Zigler Associate Professor of Engineering, is an associate professor of industrial engineering, graduate coordinator for the Information Technology Engineering (ITE) concentration, and coordinator for the undergraduate Ecommerce Engineering minor. He holds a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from SUNY Buffalo, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa. His expertise is in deep learning and analytics, text mining, robotics, intelligent systems, information systems design, systems integration, and maintenance and reliability management/engineering. Dr. Knapp's current research focus is on the application of analytics and deep learning in manufacturing and supply chain logistics, robotics, and healthcare.
