Facilities and Fees

Procedure to Reserve Space: LSU is following local, state, federal and CDC guidelines to protect the health and well-being of the LSU community. Please review our policies and procedures before reserving space in the Manship School. All in-person attendees will be required to follow CDC guidelines for physical distancing and face coverings, when appropriate. All reservation requests and schedule changes must be made online. 

The Manship School, located in the Journalism Building offers two facilities, the D. Jensen Holliday Forum and the Terrace. Each is designed to meet specific needs. Our primary facility, the Forum, is available for lectures, symposia, presentations and meetings and may be used by the university. The Terrace offers an outdoor space for informal gatherings.

Forum Capacity and Set-Up

• The Forum can only be scheduled for events that will seat a maximum of 136 participants. Larger groups may be accommodated at standing-room only.
• Portable tables (16 rectangle and two large round) may be arranged to fit the needs of the event.
• Most tables and chairs are lightweight with wheels so that the unit reserving the Forum can easily arrange the set-up desired before the event.

Terrace Set-Up

• There are electrical outlets available.
• User is responsible for securing tables, chairs, tents, all catering needs as defined in the usage policy, etc.
• User is responsible for security personnel via LSU Police.
• All items must be free-standing and nothing may be attached to the walls.
• If users do not follow the policies, and/or if any damage occurs, we will bill your organization for any repairs.

 Fees 

• LSU units may pay their fees by providing their project code. 
• 1/2 Day is 4 hours, a Full Day is anything more than 4 hours.
