Statewide achievement in research across all campuses added $1.3 billion in economic impact for Louisiana. Increased federal research funding demonstrates enduring success of LSU's Scholarship First Agenda.

LSU Computer Engineering senior Tiernan Dautle and LSU Chemical Engineering senior Peter Vallet were two of 71 students chosen nationwide to receive scholarships from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation for college students studying STEM subjects.

LSU jumped to No. 56 among universities granted U.S. utility patents in the National Academy of Inventors' 2023 Top 100 ranking. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, there are more than 2,500 undergraduate degree-granting institutions in the nation. The National Academy of Inventors ranks the top 100 among them using the number of patents received by their faculty in a single year.

LSU Alexandria students can begin studying engineering at LSUA and then seamlessly transfer to LSU to complete their bachelor’s degree under an agreement between the two campuses to help keep top students in Louisiana and the LSU family.

Geaux Big Baton Rouge — a fun, inclusive, and collaborative celebration of service — is LSU's largest single day of student contributions to the Greater Baton Rouge community. But our Tigers are offering a helping hand all year long.

LSU Eunice is set to receive $3.25 million in federal funding earmarked for the upcoming STEAM Innovation Center on campus, a renovation and reimagining of LSUE’s current Science Building, the first building erected on the campus in 1967.
