Welcome to the Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College!
The Ogden Honors College engages a diverse population of high-achieving students in
a dynamic interaction of outstanding instruction, innovative research, and public
service. We help our students make the most of their undergraduate experience. Here,
we offer an established curriculum, the opportunity for research, and faculty mentorship.
Our small, seminar-based courses will give you a more dynamic and personal academic

Jonathan Earle, dean of the Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College, will present a book talk and Q&A on his new book on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Hill Memorial Library on the LSU campus.
Growing up watching his father work as a machinist, David Nguyen developed an early curiosity about how materials behave. That curiosity carried him from an LSU classroom to a physics research lab and now, to being awarded one of the most competitive STEM scholarships in the country.
Alumna Jordan LaHaye Fontenot's national bestselling memoir Home of the Happy: A Murder on the Cajun Prairie, a book that began as her Honors capstone, has been selected as the 2026 Ogden Honors College's shared read. Fontenot will return to LSU as the keynote speaker at Honors Convocation on Monday, August 31.
