Ultraviolet (UV) and Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV) Spectroscopy
The ultraviolet (UV) and vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region of the spectrum can be measured with very high-resolution. Absorption spectrum of a gas phase sample is measured by monitoring transmitted light intensity pass through a gas cell. One of the examples is shown here; Rydberg states of Methyl Iodide are displayed. Other than the gas phase absorption spectroscopy, UV photo-induced/irradiation reactions on matters can be investigated.
