Undergraduate Workshops
CAS undergraduate workshops offer practical, skill-based sessions to support academic success throughout the semester. Topics include time management, effective studying, and test preparation, with strategies to help students stay organized, improve learning and retention, and manage stress during high-demand academic periods.
This workshop focuses on front-loading success by introducing key academic resources and platforms. Students will learn how to focus their attention on academic priorities, develop a personalized time management system, identify academic goals, and create a weekly planner to allocate time for scholastic, personal, and and health needs.

In this workshop students will understand the different levels of learning and analyze their current study methods, discuss the importance of having a study system in place including how to implement the steps of the Study Cycle, and develop strategies to make the most of their academic experience both inside and outside of class.

This presentation encourages students to reflect on their academic stance to identify strengths as well as areas for improvement. Students will discuss ways to foster academic resilience, identify strategies for deeper and more critical thinking, and understand burnout and how to avoid it.

This workshop focuses on how to plan and prepare for final exams. Students will create an action plan to finish the semester strong, identify the best ways to prepare for exams while also reviewing general test-taking strategies, understand the importance of checking their knowledge before exams, and explore ways to reduce stress and strategize.
