Biography
I have been on faculty in the sociology department since 1999, and have had a split appointment with the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, and the LSU Agricultural Center, since 2002. My research interests include global educational expansion; educational change in the United States; family and school effects on social inequality and mobility; long- and short-term social and demographic shifts in the Gulf of Mexico Region; the impact of technology change on education and research; and social transformations in rural and urban communities.
