It is an honor to serve as interim dean of LSU Vet Med, an institution with a long-standing tradition of excellence in education, patient care, research, and public service. Every day, our students, faculty, staff, interns, residents, and alumni contribute to a mission that improves and protects the lives of animals and people throughout Louisiana and beyond.

LSU Vet Med is uniquely positioned as Louisiana’s only veterinary school and one of only 33 veterinary schools in the U.S. Our impact extends far beyond the classroom and hospital. Through groundbreaking research, advanced diagnostic capabilities, community outreach, and compassionate clinical care, we are helping shape the future of veterinary medicine while addressing challenges that affect both animal and human health.

As interim dean, I look forward to supporting the continued success of our students, staff, and faculty and strengthening partnerships with alumni, referring veterinarians, industry leaders, and supporters who play an essential role in our mission. We remain committed to providing an outstanding educational experience, delivering exceptional patient care through the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and conducting research that improves lives across species.
