Hire A Musician Service

The LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts Hire-a-Musician service connects those looking for musicians for an event or to teach private lessons with available student musicians in the LSU School of Music. 

Our Involvement

Once musician(s) have been identified for your needs, you will be connected with them and LSU's involvement is typically completed. The terms and conditions of the performance, event, or lessons are negotiated and payment transactions are completed directly between you and the musician (or group representative). Additionally, the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts cannot guarantee that musicians will be available or willing to fulfill your request. Restrictions on Ensemble Performances & Use of LSU Imagery

Please note that the purpose of this form is to facilitate the hiring of individual musicians or small ensembles for private circumstances. It is not intended for the hiring of the Tiger Band, Bengal Brass, or other departmental ensembles. Those groups are dedicated to supporting the university and its official functions.

The use of LSU uniforms, instruments, or copyrighted songs by students in an unofficial capacity, either as individuals or as part of an ensemble, is not permitted. Requests for performances of LSU songs will not be fulfilled through this form.
