Meet Our Staff
Tara Rose, Ph.D. Dr. Tara Rose serves as Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and provides leadership for accreditation, planning, assessment, program review, and accountability initiatives. Dr. Rose has over 18 years of experience working in higher education. She has also spent time at the state level working for the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. She previously served as the Director of Assessment at the University of Kentucky and has 10 years of online teaching experience with Eastern Kentucky University in the Department of Homeland Security. She was a founding member of the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE) and a Board Member from 2014-2021, previously holding the position of President in AY 2015-16. In her first year at LSU, she founded the Louisiana Assessment Group (LAAG). In 2019, Dr. Rose was appointed as Senior Fellow with the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). |

Tachelle White, Ed. D. Dr. Tachelle White serves as Associate Director of Assessment. She provides assistance with student learning outcomes assessment for academic programs and administrative units. Dr. White has over 13 years of combined experience in K12 school administration, mathematics, curriculum development and assessment, and served as an adjunct professor overseeing teacher candidacy. Most recently she led and developed K12 academic content for the Louisiana Department of Education. She specializes in backwards design curriculum development, teaching effectiveness protocols, and policy in K12 and higher education. |

Claire Sassic Young, MPA Claire Sassic Young serves as Assistant Director for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. She manages LSU's SACSCOC activities, including Substantive Change, and coordinates program reviews with specialized accreditation. Additionally, she is the Business Manager, HR Analyst, and Student Employment Partner for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Claire serves on the SACSCOC Reaffirmation of Accreditation QEP Committee and ex officio on the Reaffirmation Steering Committee. She earned her Masters in Public Administration from LSU. Claire began her career as Operations Manager at a local museum before joining LSU’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training in 2013. Claire is currently pursuing her EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. |

Rachel May Rachel May serves as Assistant Director for Planning and Assessment. She oversees the Academic Program Review process, leads LSU's campus-wide strategic planning process for all academic support and administrative units, and is the primary resource for training and technical assistance for Planning & Self-Study, LSU’s institutional effectiveness reporting system used in support of SACSCOC expectations for degree programs, stand-alone certificates, and integrative learning core course assessment. Prior to joining the Office of Institutional Effectiveness in 2021, she served six years in LSU’s Department of Geology & Geophysics as the External Relations Coordinator and Assistant Business Manager, working directly with departmental faculty, students, and staff to impact departmental continuous improvement efforts. Rachel is currently pursing her Masters in Public Administration. |

Lee Daigle Lee Daigle serves as the Office of Institutional Effectiveness Coordinator, assisting the Assistant Director for Institutional Effectiveness with SACSCOC activities, coordinating work groups, supporting meetings, drafting correspondence, and developing reports. He manages communication efforts for the office, oversees the website and newsletter, and ensures accessibility. Additionally, he handles day-to-day operations and business functions, including Workday transactions, purchasing, asset management, travel, expense reports, and file/records management. Lee also provides administrative support for the Institutional Effectiveness Council and serves as a back-up for the OIE system of record (Watermark). Prior to joining OIE, Lee worked in the Office of the University Registrar and has experience in admissions, recruiting, university relations, and continuing education at Nicholls State University. Lee is currently pursing his Masters in Leadership and Human Resource Development. |
